What a great job, Dino, describing the ways of Christian Nationalists. You nailed it! They are so unchristian in their ethics, they wouldn't recognize God if they fell over Him. They'd haul Jesus off to El Salvador for not looking super "white." What empty, soulless people they are, bowing to an idol they serve as their god ( that's against one of the 10 Commandments, for sure). Since when does God wear bronzer?
Thank you, Ami. And apparently, god has worn a bronzer ever since the electric Cheeto started selling golden tennis shoes and flying aboard a 400 million dollar bribe.
Sandra, I imagine it will eventually become a tired refrain coming from me “I do not believe in god. I do not follow any form of organized religion.” Please believe when I say it’s not my intent to be combative. Rather, I don’t want to be a poser. I don’t want to appear fraudulent or, worse, an imposter. But I believe in a person’s right to faith because the basic teachings are almost all uniformly good and true and human and…practical. So, in my fractured understanding of scripture, I would ask those elders not to judge lest they too be judged.
