It’s a cautionary tale, so why does it feel like reality now? Elections have already been heavily weighted to one side, knowledgeable government leaders have already been pushed out, laws already changed to give the executive more power, and take away from the people. I think the revolution gains momentum when the vail or maga hat, is pulled off the eyes of the masses. When FEMA doesn’t come to the rescue of natural disasters, like what is happening in Texas right now. And various realities start to hit hard. Then the masses will hopefully speak in unison demanding change.

Not sure how I feel about this article. I know it's a warning but you seem to have doomed/predicted our next few yrs already .

Some of what you have written has already happened . feeling hopeless is not where I want to be.

Think of it as an alternate universe you don’t want to realize. The purpose of the essay is to demonstrate where we will find our selves if we do not act. We cannot demand what we want without bearing witness to that which we oppose.
