Reading your recent posts—The Moral Autopsy, The Minotaur in the Mirror, The House of Rot—I felt something more than recognition. I felt alignment. Not in opinion, but in observation, in witness. You’re tracing the collapse with such clarity that it almost feels like you’re holding up a shard of the same mirror I’ve been staring into—just from a different angle.
You name the horror not as spectacle, but as design. That matters. So many accounts chronicle collapse as if it were accidental, a slow erosion of norms. But you’re pulling back the curtain to show that what’s failing was meant to fail—and what’s rising in its place was crafted, not conjured.
Your metaphor of the Minotaur—the beast the system built, then forgot how to contain—lands deeply. And “The maze was never meant to be escaped” might be one of the clearest expressions I’ve read of how institutional cruelty gets dressed in process.
In my own quiet ledger, I’ve been keeping a mosaic of fragments. The first entry is titled “They Built the Frame Before the Fire.” That frame, I’m realizing, was scaffolded by memos and doctrine long before it was set aflame by personality. And your reflections feel like companion tiles—echoes from a shared altar of clarity.
Thank you for naming what so many of us are feeling: not disorientation, but betrayal. Not confusion, but the ache of watching power wear a different face and insist it hasn’t changed.
Dino Alonso, This one has taken me awhile to get through, throughout my day but also because of the depth (of betrayal, of recognition, of disbelief - it's all there & so much more).
Is it a prelude (possibility of a book)?
It is so well worth the read! (imho) I shudder as I reflect upon that which is prediction or prophecy, being where we may be headed. Of course, my own imaginations of our future are limited. Yet you have written this outstanding breakdown of what is happening & ALL we are watching right before our eyes now awakened, & seeing this reality somewhat dumbfounded by its complexities & the devious plans being put into action & even supported; added to going beyond this into the years ahead with where this all may lead & end up. WOW! I sure hope not. Perhaps if you are considering publishing this as a book, you will have to write a Prologue as we arrive to 2026-2028, because "the arc of collapse" might change. You are so right, as you write "The Epilogue without Comfort" and the "Final Reckoning". I read and reread with utter awe (and you already know that I'm quite insecure & fearful (not the strength you show & have written from). Bravo! A Masterpiece. However, WE, the people (voters) may fail, & sadly our Constitution, etc. as you brilliantly wrote after the collapse & our systems are breaking apart even now, because of the weaknesses I have & others I'm sure; but a resolve of determination & sincere perseverance may yet surface & hold this back from happening. My doom & gloom just doubled after reading this, & I am thankful for some of the parts of encouragement and spectacular suggestions - that "rubicon" just seems to keep on coming & the flow is quite strong. As usual, I may have missed many points you made & my remarks don't quite cut through the superb writing & thoughts that you made - so I highly recommend that EVERYONE MUST READ & add to the discussion their perspectives! Meanwhile I'll wait for your finished product & publication. 😉 Thank you for this. May it awaken more souls to the actual "fight" & standing together for the "work ahead" & hopefully prevent. May TRUTH prevail over the lies & deception rampant & may we find the strength & power to overcome & STOP anymore destruction or collapse.
Bear in mind I was using a degree of creative license to cast a “potential” future. It could look very different. I wanted to provide an example of what to fight against and anything remotely like it.
Thank you, Peggy. No. I won’t write a book about horror. I prefer to write a book about strength of spirit, depth of compassion, and the nobility of humanity.
That sounds more like you! Thanks ... Look forward to that book & growing some of your strength in me. Of course, I knew you had all of those great qualities. All of your writings are so powerful. Thanks for waking up ANY who don't yet realize this. I only wish the ones deceived (on his side) would read or open their minds (& hearts). You indeed are an author of profound skill. (I say this as a former librarian, or at least trained as one but only K-6 so this is far above that level).

A great response to Dino's story of betrayal, a prophecy and encouragement to hold flame of Truth closely and remember.
Thank you both.
We are kindred souls, my friend.
I also feel these fears and urgency.

Yes, I definitely saw that and I do believe with your background & this, you do provide great examples of what WE may be up against! Thank you again.
